The field of Supervisory Management is broad and constantly evolving. Modern world Supervisors/Managers/Team Leaders must commit to continuous professional development to keep up-to-date with the recent developments, and to effectively contribute to their organisation’s success and thus, prove to be an asset to their organisation.

Our QQI Level-6 Supervisory Management course aims to equip learners with the relevant knowledge, skills and competence to work in a range of industry sectors independently in a supervisory capacity.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Summarise the duties and responsibilities of a supervisory manager
  • Evaluate real time industry standards, guidelines and recommended practices that affect the work environment
  • Explain necessary measures to protect information and record security
  • Describe and execute key steps involved in team building/recruitment process
  • Examine & evaluate risks
  • Outline various work procedures including communication, service standards, recruitment, and supervision
  • Create work record system for operational staff, equipment and vehicles
  • Compile departmental budget covering planned and contingency expenses
  • Train employees as per real time industry standards using appropriate methods and material, and assess individual aptitude
  • Conduct staff assessments for goal attainment, performance feedback, and personal growth.
